The 'Resize images before upload' plugin will place itself between WordPress' image selection and the image upload process.
The plugin detects the size of the images selected by an user and if above the limit set inside the "Settings->Media->Image Sizes" admin section, it will downsize them all before the upload begins.
This way, large, unusable images are resized to a smaller version that can be used inside a Web page, saving bandwidth costs along the way.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
